Father said, “It’s time to move from the roller coaster of happiness to the locomotive of joy.” Roller coasters make for a great ride but a terrible life. We are being invited to make the switch to the unshakable, unstoppable Locomotive of Joy that runs on the rails of truth and grace.

For years I believed that seeking to please people was kind and loving. I was shocked to find out that my efforts to do so often had a selfish motive.

Bobby was as tall as a man, tried to act like a man, had a pretty young lady by his side, but 17 year old Bobby wasn't a man. To offer forgiveness and grace to others while ready to throw a stone of judgment at my 17 year old self was hypocritical.

Obedience is to discipline what works are to faith; you can have one without the other, but there is a more holy and complete option, and it pleases God when we choose it. 

Would you rather struggle and possibly fail alone or get help and succeed?Many times no one knows we had a struggle until it is over or too late. Fighting alone is waiting to fail, getting help ensures success.
